Judiciary celebrates Adult Drug Court II and Reentry Court graduates
The Judiciary of Guam celebrated those rebuilding their lives with 10 participants graduating from the Adult Drug Court II program and three participants graduating from the Guam Adult Reentry Court program last week.
The Adult Drug Court II, designed to help individuals overcome substance use, graduated ten participants in a ceremony held yesterday in Judge Maria T. Cenzon’s courtroom.
Graduates reflected on their difficult journey of recovery, showed gratitude for those who helped them along the way, and remarked on their excitement to support future program participants as peer mentors.
“It’s been a long road and there have been struggles, but we did it,” said one participant who later remarked that he has been proudly sober for over two years.
“We will always be here for you,” said Judge Cenzon. “You are never alone in this journey and we’re always a phone call away if you ever need help.”
The Adult Drug Court and the Guam Reentry Court programs highlight the importance of rehabilitation, community support, and second chances, empowering justice-involved individuals with the tools to build brighter futures.
