Vote for new Guam Visitors Bureau leadership delayed
The Guam Visitors Bureau Board of Directors were supposed to vote on new leadership today after a months long search.
However, the meeting was canceled by Chairman George Chiu and rescheduled to Feb. 27, according to GVB Public Information Officer Lisa Bordallo.
GVB has been looking for new leadership after former President and CEO Carl Gutierrez resigned last November.
The GVB Board met with the interim search committee last week who recommended former Senator Regine Biscoe Lee as President and CEO and Island Beverage General Manager E.J. Calvo as Vice President.
Lee ranked top for the position to lead the bureau.
This comes as GVB works to implement their tourism recovery plan to boost visitor arrivals.
