The White House rescinded a sweeping freeze on most federal loans and grants.

The funding freeze stemmed from a memo by the Office of Management and Budget which directed federal agencies to "temporarily pause all activities related to obligation or disbursement of all federal financial assistance, and other relevant agency activities."

It went on to say it included "foreign aid, nongovernmental organizations, DEI, woke gender ideology, and the green new deal."

The memo said the freeze would allow the Trump administration time to review which programs were consistent with the President's agenda.

A federal has judge temporarily blocked implementation of the order.

Today, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the OMB memo was rescinded, but insisted the President's executive order reviewing the use of federal funds remains in full force.

The memo sparked confusion and anger across the nation and in the Marianas, and among non-profits that depend on federal dollars.
