A former University of Guam director opposes the university’s request to dismiss the discrimination lawsuit filed in federal court.

Defense for Norman Analista filed the opposition in the District Court of Guam last week.

As reported, UOG called for the dismissal arguing the federal court does not have jurisdiction to hear the lawsuit, adding Analista failed to allege a plausible claim of retaliation and gender discrimination.

Analista alleges malice, oppression and fraud in the lawsuit contending uog had no reason to terminate his employment.

He asked the court to deny the university’s request to toss the lawsuit.

Parties are scheduled to appear in court on March 6 for a scheduling conference.
