Guam Department of Education, Public Health report tuberculosis case at Simon Sanchez High School
The Guam Department of Education is taking action after a confirmed case of pulmonary tuberculosis was identified at Simon Sanchez High School.
GDOE and Public Health are working to identify possible contacts and conduct screenings to prevent further spread.
Free TB skin testing will be available for identified contacts on Feb. 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and follow-up readings on Feb. 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at John F. Kennedy High School.
Superintendent Dr. Erik Swanson assures the public that student and staff safety remains the top priority.
GDOE encourages all identified contacts to participate in testing and remains committed to ensuring a safe learning environment.
