It's been more than 24 hours since a violent collision near the Reagan National Airport involving a passenger plane and a  US Army Black Hawk helicopter. So many of those who died in this tragedy had so much of their lives ahead of them. A young pilot. Soldiers. Some of them - rising stars of the figure skating world. The National Transportation Safety Board has 50 people on the ground looking into what will become a long investigation to find out what went wrong.  The tragedy being recorded as the deadliest on US soil in more than two decades. 

In response to the crash, a spokesperson with the Guam National Guard states, "Our deepest condolences go out to the families of our Army Aviation brothers and sisters, and to all the victims of this tragic accident. To honor their legacy of service we will continue to focus on the safety of our pilots and crew as our number one priority."
