Adelup to provide legislature with update on plans for new hospital
As one of its first priorities, the Committee on Health and Veterans Affairs is preparing for a crucial informational briefing tomorrow, Feb. 4 at the Guam Congress building.
The agenda will focus on pressing issues, including veterans services and healthcare challenges, as well as a major topic of public interest: The prospect of a new hospital.
This includes updates on the project’s status and projected costs.
The committee will also review the current state of the Guam Memorial Hospital and the allocation of American Rescue Plan funds intended for healthcare improvements.
Health Oversight Chair Senator Sabrina Salas Matanane previously confirmed with KUAM that Adelup has agreed to present the latest hospital updates, with GMH officials also invited to participate in the briefing.
The info meeting is set to begin at 10 a.m. tomorrow; KUAM will provide full coverage Tuesday night on Primetime.
