Chalan Pago-Ordot unites for the ‘It Takes a Village’ beautification project
The Chalan Pago-Ordot Municipal Planning Council, led by Mayor Wayne S.N. Santos, organized a community cleanup event at Francisco Perez Beach in Pago Bay as part of its “It Takes a Village” beautification project.
On Saturday, volunteers from the community, the U.S. marines, and local rotary clubs worked together to clear litter, sort recyclables, and help paint a mural at a nearby pavilion.
The event, supported by the lieutenant governor’s island-wide beautification task force, aimed to protect marine ecosystems and promote environmental sustainability.
“We’re excited to unite the community for such an important cause,” said Candise Aragon, Project Manager. “Our breaches and oceans are essential to the health of our planet and by coming together, we can make a real difference in preserving them for future generations.”
