The Department of Public Health and Social Services has secured a $750,000 grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to improve healthcare data sharing and record-keeping.

The funding, part of the CDC’s Implementation Center Grant, will support the development of electronic case records and improve immunization data sharing between public and private healthcare providers through a health information exchange.

This initiative is part of the government’s broader commitment to modernizing Guam's healthcare infrastructure, improving healthcare outcomes, reducing inefficiencies, and ensuring greater accountability for the use of local and federal health funding.

Specific implementation details have not yet been released, but DPHSS plans to provide updates as the project moves forward.
