Loved ones of a man involved in a serious car crash in Barrigada Heights are asking for the community’s help during his recovery.
The crash victim has been identified as Chase Duenas, a husband and father of three children.
It was on Jan. 10 when the two car crash sent a pair of people to the hospital.
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser started by Duenas’s friend, he was heading to work in the morning when another vehicle veered into his lane and collided with him head on.
The friend said Duenas sustained multiple injuries to include fractures and lacerations on his body.
Due to the severity of his injuries, he required surgery on his arm.
He also needs surgery for his leg but Guam does not have the medical equipment needed to perform the surgery and will need to go off island in the coming weeks.
The fundraiser has so far reached $12,100.
Any contribution helps as the Duenas family navigates this difficult time.

Meantime, no word on the other driver's condition.
The Guam Police Department's Highway Patrol Division is investigating.
