A former Guam National Guard soldier now stationed in Fort Bliss, Texas stands accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old. 

Our CBS affiliates in El Paso report 34-year-old Army Sergeant Jasery Manglona Muna is facing charges in connection to the sexual abuse of a teenager.

The alleged abuse happened from June 11, 2024, to Jan. 27, 2025.

The report describes a forensic interview where the 12-year-old victim described the alleged abuse to an interviewer at the Advocacy Center for the Children of El Paso.

In the interview, the child described how Muna would allegedly molest them and have sex with them at least once a week for several months.

A spokesperson for Fort Bliss confirmed Muna is an infantryman assigned to the 1st armored brigade combat team, 1st armored division.

The military is reportedly cooperating with authorities as the investigation develops.

Muna was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a $200,000 split bond.
