Introducing an app that most any parent can appreciate.

“It looks for other code phrases that are a little bit more ambiguous and knows how to pull that out,” said IT&E CEO Dave Gibson.

It's called BARK.

IT&E CEO Dave Gibson said their mission is ‘connections that matter,’ that includes keeping families safe in the digital world.

“Provide great technology, but also provide the services and support that make our customers feel comfortable and safe using that technology,” added Gibson.

BARK is a parental control app.

It monitors online activity, manages screen time, tracks location, and even alerts parents if teens are driving too fast.

The standout feature: Artificial Intelligence.

Using AI, BARK analyzes context to detect warning signs that parents might miss.

“When you think about how powerful that is, I mean, this is a really good tool. Especially, when you think about how young kids are starting to get their first phones, or their ipads, or computers,” said Gibson.

Even with alerts, parents may struggle with what to do next.

That's where BARK steps in.

“Incorporated in this is that there’s professional feedback where, depending on the circumstance or the flag, the parent or guardian gets advice,” added Gibson.

As the digital landscape constantly changes, Gibson said parents need to stay vigilant.

“Pay attention, look around, pay attention to what your kids are doing, and to the greatest extent possible, try to use technology to be able to be in touch with them and keep them safe,” said Gibson.

With kids spending more time online than ever, IT&E’s new partnership aims to give parents stronger tools to protect their children.
