The employee apparently forgot the meth that was found inside a conference at the Office of the Attorney General's Thursday morning was actually found by another employee the day prior.

Investigators said that employee turned it in to their superior on Wednesday during a meeting.

But, that employee apparently never reported the drugs being turned in.

Guam police confirmed the employee admitted they forgot about the meth in the room.

This led to a third employee finding the drugs in the conference room Thursday.

The case led to K9 officers sweeping the AG’s office space at the ITC building in Tamuning.

Multiple employees who used the conference room were questioned.

In total, the meth weighed about 3.9 gross grams.

Authorities expect to review security footage as part of the investigation.
