A man accused of smuggling Chinese nationals from Saipan to Guam is indicted in the District Court of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Zhongli Pang is facing charged of conspiracy and aiding and abetting transportation of illegal aliens, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and making a false statement.

Court documents state he aided and abetted the transportation of more than six illegal aliens who were not authorized to enter the Territory of Guam.

Pang stands accused of conspiring with others in providing false information to Homeland Security Investigations Task Force officers.

He allegedly told authorities that he purchased a boat to start a fishing business and that he did not intend to use the boat to go to Guam.
