Prosecutors want the former chief medical examiner to testify in the murder case against defendant Stefen Camacho.

Camacho appeared before Judge John Terlaje in superior court on Thursday.

Parties argued over whether allowing the virtual testimony would in anyway violate the defendant's rights.

Camacho is scheduled to appear back in court on February 24.

A trial date has not yet been set.

Camacho stands accused in the deadly robbery of a tourist visiting from Korea in January 2024.

He allegedly told investigators the robbery was planned after he and deceased co-defendant Keoki Santos lost money gambling.
