Take care of your teeth and your teeth will take care of you! (And don't forget your gums, too!) The Guam Dental Society hosted their annual dental fair on Sunday at the Micronesia Mall and saw lots of fun, interactive and informative stations so all members of the family can have a healthy smile.

The event celebrates National Children's Dental Health Month. Dr. Paul Kaneshiro is one of the newest orthodontists on island. "This event is to promote just general tooth health for all kids just to bring awareness for Guam and what its like to just take care of your health, why its very important and when it starts with the mouth and how it connects to the rest of the body," he told KUAM News.

"I just hope they understand the importance of good dental oral health, what it's like to protect your teeth, how to address that, how to brush properly, floss properly, and just getting an overall understanding of how that connects with the rest of the body and how its important with their overall cardiac health and physical health."

Dr. Kaneshiro said that you are encouraged to reach out to your nearest dental clinic and get good answers for those questions that you may have regarding dental health.
