The Guam Power Authority announced a scheduled preventative maintenance outage set for Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the village of Ma’ina.

Customers affected are along Hegai Street, Tuba Street (including GWA Water Pump), Uma Court, Hatsa Street, Pinga Street, Gote Street, a portion of Maria Candelaria Street and surrounding areas.

GPA makes system improvements and conducts preventative maintenance to avoid future power outages.

In most cases, the job can be done with no impact to customers; however, sometimes the power needs to be shut off in order for the crews to work safely.

If you have a generator, make sure your main breaker is in the open position for the safety of our line crew.

Have a plan for alternate power sources for electrical medical equipment, charge all cell phones, and minimize opening refrigerator and freezer doors during the outage.

For power emergencies, please contact GPA Power systems control center (PSCC) Dispatch at (671) 475-1472/3/4.
