Secretary Noem: Trump administration taking decisive action to secure borders

The Trump administration is taking aggressive steps to tighten border security, including measures specific to Guam.
In a letter to Congressman James Moylan, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem responded to concerns over narcotics trafficking and border deficiencies in the Pacific.
Noem highlighted Guam's strategic position, stressing the need to secure its borders to protect public safety while ensuring lawful trade and travel.
On Jan. 20, President Trump signed executive orders to strengthen immigration enforcement, including measures to deter illegal entry, particularly from nationals of the People's Republic of China.
DHS said it remains committed to partnering with Guam law enforcement to combat transnational crime and remove individuals who violate U.S. immigration laws.
