Cope North 2025 is coming to a close. The US Air Force for the past few weeks has been seen and heard in our skies participating in this exercise with servicemembers from Australia and Japan. Guam has been the main stage for the exercise. It's been done annually for the past four decades. Today, the community got the chance to see aircraft up close and meet the military men and women involved.

The military says the event enhances the capabilities of partner air forces.

With a focus this time on integration and flight operations using these fast flying fighter jets - the F-35.

Seen flying across Guam's skies this month.

These armed stealthy aircrafts reach speeds up to mach 1.6.

Ellen Bush said, "The last few weeks it’s been pretty hard on us. We haven’t been able to walk because it’s been too loud."

She and her mom's walking club are among the many who have heard the aircrafts soaring across the island.

"It's incredible to see the hard work all these men and women do to maintain and preserve – it makes us feel very patriotic," she said.

The sounds above have also been getting the attention of little Paisley.

Her mom, Samantha Garcia, bringing her to the Andersen Air Force Base flight line Friday.

"Lately, she’s been hearing all the aircrafts flying and she looks every single one of them. So I love for her to see them up close," said her mom.

Students from local schools also getting in on the action.

The exercise, which concluded today, involved 2,300 participants, 62 aircrafts - in total executing 2,400 flights.

First Lieutenant Ariana Wilkinson is the command information chief with the 36th Wing Public Affairs, and said, "As you know, we don’t have any organic aircraft here at AAFB so to be able to have any aircraft is always a cool opportunity because we want to bring people out here to be able to see them."

A sight to see and a training that helps them build on their skills and relationships with military allies.

The experience on Guam was a first for wing commander Andrew Nilson. He pilots the F-35.

"Thanks for the hospitality. for a start. It’s a fantastic training opportunity for us. We’ve had great support from the base. It’s really nice to see Guam. I have never been here before. It’s a beautiful place to be and the air space we’ve been in has been really good for us to get the tactical execution that we wanted so thank you," he said.
