Police identify man killed in deadly crash in Maite

The man killed in Saturday’s crash in Maite has been identified by police as 30-year-old Elliot Muguy of Mangilao.
Investigators with the Guam Police Department confirmed he was the driver in the car that collided with a concrete pole along Route 8, Chalan RS Sanchez Street early Saturday.
Preliminary findings revealed Muguy was traveling eastbound before he lost control of his car and ran off the roadway, colliding head-on with a concrete utility pole.
The cause is the crash remains under investigation.
This marks the island's 4th traffic-related death of 2025.
