A man who already admitted to possessing illicit drugs is convicted on similar illegal drugs and weapons charges in a separate criminal case.

A Superior Court of Guam jury found defendant Mark Paulino guilty of possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of a firearm without a firearm ID.

He faces a maximum 25 years in prison for committing a felon while on felony release.

Attorney General Doug Moylan stating “meth continues destroying our island and lives. Being soft on crime cannot solve this problem.”

The case unfolded in Humatak in June 2023 after Paulino got into an argument with another man while holding the gun.

Authorities then finding him with a rifle and a glass pipe with meth.
