Guam Regional Medical City hosts Free Heart Health event with expert advice and screenings

Guam Regional Medical City is inviting the community to a free heart health event this Saturday, March 1, at Micronesia Mall’s center court.
This event aims to educate the public on heart health, including prevention and treatment of heart disease. Whether you're seeking to improve your heart health or simply want to understand more about heart attacks, this event is open to all.
A presentation and Q&A is set from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and will be led by GRMC’s Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Mahesh Golla, where he’ll provide essential information about heart disease, risk factors, and signs of heart attacks.
Dr. Bishoy ElBebawy and Dr. Robert Palusinski, GRMC’s Cardiologists will also be available at GRMC’s Cardiology booth for those who would like to ask additional questions or speak with them directly.
For those looking for a more detailed heart health check, Free EKG testing will be offered to the first 25 people who sign up.
This testing will take place from 12 PM to 2 PM after the main presentation.
For those interested in taking an EKG test, here’s what you need to know:
- It takes 5-10 minutes to complete
- Participants must be 18 years or older
- Wear comfortable clothing (e.g., button-up shirt)
- Must not have had an EKG in the past year
