The Department of Agriculture has partially lifted its Avian Flu-related import ban—allowing hatching eggs to be brought into the island, while the ban on live poultry remains in full effect.

Officials say hatching eggs pose a much lower risk of spreading the deadly virus compared to live birds. Strict biosecurity measures will be in place, including health certifications, sanitation protocols, and inspections on arrival.

The Department of Agriculture says this move supports Guam’s poultry industry while keeping flocks safe. For more details, contact the Animal Health Division at 671-300-7966.
