Senator Telo Taitague attended the 64th Board of Directors meeting of the Association of Pacific Island Legislatures in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, where she pushed for cost-saving measures and urged action on nuclear fallout issues.

The meeting addressed regional concerns, including high operational costs. 

Sen. Taitague proposed consolidating board and general assembly meetings into a single trip to reduce expenses. Her resolution received unanimous support from the APIL board.

While pushing for financial responsibility, she also stressed the importance of funding legislative initiatives. She touched on the impact of nuclear fallout on Pacific Islanders, citing expert research on the health risks.
