Guam Memorial Hospital to implement new “Missed Appointment Fee” policy

Starting Monday, March 10, 2025, Guam Memorial Hospital Authority will implement a pilot Missed Appointment Fee for patients in the Special Services Department (Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology) and the Radiology Department.
This new policy aims to address the growing issue of missed appointments and help improve overall patient care and efficiency.
With this program, patients who miss scheduled appointments without 24-hour prior notification will incur a $55.00 fee.
The fee will be applied to any missed appointment in the affected departments during the 3-month pilot period, which will run from March 10 to May 7, 2025.
GMHA recognizes that missed appointments can lead to delays in care for other patients and disruptions in our services. Therefore, this policy is designed to encourage accountability and ensure that our valuable resources are used efficiently.
