Attorney General Doug Moylan wants the Guam Legislature to step in to investigate what he calls “unfounded allegations” being made against him by the Governor.

In a letter to the Speaker and his Oversight Chair, Moylan stated, “The Governor does not request an unbiased investigation, but concludes that crimes occurred by myself and others. The Governor intends to weaponize Guam's criminal justice system and engage in lawfare between herself and the people's only elected public prosecutor and my staff, at taxpayer expense.”

As reported, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero gave the AG until March 12 to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate alleged illegal hirings and promotions at the AG's office.

Moylan contends he was not involved in the hiring process.

AG Moylan added, “I believe she is retaliating against this elected law enforcement official because of our legal positions on her $1 billion, 10 year medical complex project.

Moylan said he engaged a three person panel to conduct an investigation into the Governor's allegations.
