During a Legislative Committee on Rules meeting this past Thursday, the agenda was set for the first working session of the 38th Guam Legislature to include 10 bills. Among the bills up for discussion is Senator Vince Borja’s proposal to allocate $5.7 million in supplemental funding for the University of Guam, as officials warn the school could run out of money by July.
Also on the agenda is Senator Shawn Gumataotao’s bill to establish a line-of-duty death benefit for public safety and law enforcement officers, along with the development of administrative rules and regulations.
In addition, lawmakers will review one resolution and 14 appointments.
Session is scheduled for March 24 at the Guam Congress Building.
