Ordot-Chalan Pago Elementary School successfully passed its annual sanitation inspection, conducted by the Department of Public Health & Social Services on March 4 and 5, 2025.

The Guam Department of Education reports that the school passed with a grade B with 18 demerits, a commendable improvement from last year with a grade C and 38 demerits.

“I am extremely thankful for my teachers and staff who continue to work to improve our school environment at OCPES. Together, we were able to address previous demerits and improve our rating to a “B.” I want to acknowledge the support from GDOE’s Facility and Maintenance team, our parents, and community partners. We appreciate that these inspections ensure that we remain compliant in providing a safe and healthy environment. And we thank the DPHSS inspectors for their invaluable work in protecting our school community,” said Tricia Moylan, Principal of OCPES.

The passing reflects the school’s dedicated efforts to maintain a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and visitors. The inspection evaluated various aspects of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the campus, including classrooms, restrooms, and dining facilities.
