A federal food stamp fraud investigation involving a former employee at the Department of Public Health.

Defendant Natasha Peredo Vitug has taken a federal prosecutor's plea deal.

She will admit to charges of theft concerning a program receiving federal funds in the District Court of Guam.

According to the plea agreement, Vitug's scammed her former employer, specifically under the supplemental nutrition assistance program from February 2019 through November 2019.

She defrauded at least $5,000 in food stamps, as she had access to the system that processes and approves applications for benefits.

Vitug is scheduled to admit guilt before Judge Michael Bordallo Thursday afternoon.
