Congressman Moylan introduces bill to address historic injustice faced by Guam veterans in the PACT Act

Congressman James Moylan has re-introduced H.R. 2149, a pivotal bill aimed at rectifying the long-standing injustice faced by our brave veterans who served in Guam.
This legislation seeks to address the notable gap in the PACT Act, ensuring that these heroes receive the benefits and recognition they rightfully deserve.
The reintroduction of H.R. 2149 signifies a significant step towards fulfilling our promise of care and support to the veterans who valiantly defended our nation, often being exposed to toxic chemicals during their service.
"Far too many veterans who served on Guam have been left without the essential care and support they were promised. H.R. 2149 is not merely a bill; it represents our dedication to correcting this historical injustice, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to those who courageously served our country," said Moylan
H.R. 2149 seeks to amend the U.S. Code to reflect the full period of exposure to toxic chemicals on Guam, ensuring that all veterans who faced these dangers, regardless of their precise dates of service, will finally receive the healthcare and compensation they've earned through their selfless sacrifice.
With 16 cosponsors and strong support building each day, H.R. 2149 has been referred to the House Committee on Veterans Affairs. Moylan is leading the charge, tirelessly fighting to expedite this bill's passage through Congress and to secure the resources and support our veterans urgently need.
