Guam defeats Thailand in FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers

Team Guam continues to break new ground for hoops, as our boys fought hard and earned the biggest victory in Guam basketball history in the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers in Chinese Taipei. We stood tall against a tough Thailand national team, winning 89-81.
Guam's backcourt was dominant, as Earnest Ross had another monster game with 19 points and 9 rebounds, with fellow fan favorite Jericho Cruz controlling the pace with 21 points and 8 assists.
Our boys now await the winner of the Chinese Taipei tomorrow – if the host nation beats Thailand, we'll advance to our highest level ever, punching our ticket to host World Cup home-and-away games for the next two years.
