The legal feud between Governor Lou Leon Guerrero and the Attorney General Doug Moylan continues.

This as the Governor is taking the AG to court over failing to meet her deadline to appoint a special prosecutor.

AG Moylan calls the Governor's move a distraction contending the proper processes were followed whenever staff is hired at his office.

The Governor disagrees, as the AG now has less than 60 days to respond to a lawsuit filed against him in local court.

“The trouble about this is she is using the people’s money. When do you trigger an investigation on any government official when the law is already clear the AG is the elected official that does those investigations and only the Guam Legislature can set up any procedure for a special prosecutor. But, I digress. It’s distracting. We are winning our cases,” said Moylan.

“No. It’s actually due diligence for tax payers dollars because these salaries are paid by our tax dollars and my issue is everybody has to abide by the law. It doesn’t matter who you are and the way this AG is behaving is making me wonder why is not abiding by the law. He is not beyond the law,” said Leon Guerrero.

Additionally, the Governor formally requested copies of all AG’s office contracts from the Department of Administration arguing they shall be submitted to the Governor for her signature.

AG Moylan disagrees.
