Department of Public Health encourages community participation in 2025 National Immunization Survey

The Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services announced that the 2025 National Immunization Survey will begin in April 2025. The department encourages eligible residents to participate if called.
The NIS is a U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sponsored phone surveys used to monitor vaccination coverage among children 19 through 35 months; teens 13 through 17 years; flu vaccinations for children 6 months through 17 years; and COVID-19 vaccination for children and teens in eligible age groups, and for adults 18 years, and older.
The National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago, under the guidance of the CDC, will collect data through telephone interviews with parents or guardians nationwide.
The following are approved, no-charge, off-island telephone numbers that residents may expect to receive:
- (404) 537-5237
- (404) 537-5249
- ((404) 537-3884
- (404) 537-5803
- (404) 537-5816
- (404) 800-6688
- (404) 809-3209
- (404) 809-3231
- (404) 809-2651
- (404) 809-2085
Participation in the survey is highly recommended, because the data gathered will help identify groups at risk of vaccine-preventable diseases, evaluate the effectiveness of programs designed to increase vaccination rates, and provide local and federal health programs with state-specific data essential to enhancing programs that promote health and prevent disease in Guam.
