Gumataotao on war plans mistake: ‘Wakeup call for the Trump Administration’

Emergency Management Oversight Chair Senator Shawn Gumataotao also chimed in on the news that war plans had been shared in group text.
KUAM spoke with the freshman senator ahead of today’s session hearing.
“I think that this is a wakeup call for everyone to know who they are communicating with and if those things happen, I’m sure that from the journalist point of view as a person who understands it, you are also seeing it and then what do you do to report it. I think that there was a mistake made. I’m sure that’s not going to happen again, but it did give some insight to some of our foreign policies and how we do work against our adversaries. I think it was a wakeup call for the Trump administration to be a lot more careful with information they pass along,” said Gumataotao.
In response to the article, former Secretary of State, First Lady and Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who drew intense criticism from republicans for her use of a private email server, also posted to her X account today, writing, "You have got to be kidding me."
