A child pornography investigation out of Tiyan High School has the Guam Police Department reminding the community to think before you post.

The teenage boy, a student at the school, is now facing criminal charges in the Superior Court of Guam accused in the case and appearing before a magistrate judge this afternoon.

18-year-old Alexander Santos is charged with dissemination of child pornography, possession of child pornography and unlawful distribution of images.

Court documents state the defendant had lewd images of the 17-year-old victim on his phone that he allegedly shared on social media.

Investigators learned the pair got into an argument prior to the image being shared.

Santos allegedly told police he "accidentally" sent it to two others.

Officers confiscated the phone as evidence.

Santos appeared before Magistrate Judge Sean Brown Wednesday afternoon.

He was released on a $5,000 bond and ordered to stay away from the alleged victim.

The judge also banned Santos from going back to the campus, noting he is only authorized to go to the admin office to withdraw, but must have two adults accompany him.

Santos told the court the school suspended him.

Guam Department of Education officials declined comment.
