Military grants Guam media access during Defense Secretary Hegseth visit

The island's media has been granted access to cover Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's visit on Andersen Air Force Base Thursday afternoon.
The military agreed to allow local media after previously denying access following requests made by Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero.
"During this engagement you will attend several events where the Hon. Pete Hegseth will provide remarks, discuss Guam’s strategic role and engage with Airmen," an invited from AAFB officials states. "At this time, no one-on-one interview will take place."
Hegseth is currently on a tour to the Indo-Pacific region and will be arriving to Guam following a visit in Hawaii.
The Pentagon previously announced Hegseth is expected to tour the military facilities and receive capabilities briefs.
