Carabao Brewing is serving up more than just beer - they are pouring their support into a local veteran non-profit aimed at helping families transition from military life to civilian life.  Anna Johnson said, "Today Carabao Brewing is going to be donating a check to Got Your 671 , a veteran non-profit that helps focus on mental health of veterans. We did a collaboration with them back in 2024 and today we're able to donate $1,833."

Carabao Brewing co-owner Johnson says in total, they have been able to collect roughly about $2,500 for the local non-profit.  The donation was made possible through the sale of a special IPA, Got Your 671, in which a portion of the proceeds went directly to benefit the organization.

Carabao fellow co-owner owner Ben Johnson explained, saying, "About a year-and-a-half ago we got together with Got Your 671 and we brewed a collaboration beer using a blend of hops that comes from one of our hops suppliers and they called it The Veterans Blend. Every year, the supplier gathers a group of veterans and they select a blend of hops and they they put that hops together and they offer it up for sale."

Carabao Brewing purchased the hops and wanted to take it a step further and partner up with  a local non-profit and donate at a grassroots level. "The work that Got Your 671 does is really touching to us; I feel it's so important what you guys do, we're proud to do this and happy to donated," said Ben.

Got Your 671 is a diverse community of veterans unified in their mission to work towards strengthening the veteran community and creating a positive lifestyle. Roy Gamboa with the group said, "A lot of the community knows what we do. We work with a lot of our veterans that are transitioning . We also work with their families. While Veterans Affairs has services for veterans, and we work directly with the veterans, but we also have a spouses group."

"Anytime we can collaborate with our local partners, it's always a success," he said.

You can look out for the special IPA again sometime in November. In the meantime, Ben and Anna are extremely grateful for those who supported the fundraiser. "We want to say thank you to everyone who purchased the beer over the course of the year. At least one dollar from every pint or can went straight to Got Your 671.

"We love working with local non-profits, it's just a great way for us to give back to the community and give back to those who have supported us throughout the years," she said.
