Saipan Mayor honors World War II servicemen’s families with 80th anniversary medallions

A special recognition ceremony in Saipan honored the legacy of American servicemen who fought in the battle of Saipan and Tinian.
Saipan Mayor RB Camacho presented 80th anniversary commemorative medallions to the children and grandchildren of World War II veterans who served in the Marianas.
The ceremony took place at Kensington Hotel Saipan, where the mayor expressed gratitude for their families’ sacrifices and welcomed them back to the island.
The event is part of ongoing efforts to remember and honor the Heroes of the Pacific Theater, ensuring their legacy lives on for future generations.
