Vonschimpf sentenced to two years for fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct

A convicted predator will spend two years behind bars for his crimes against a defenseless victim.
On Wednesday, Judge John Terlaje handed down the maximum sentence for 70-year-old Peter Scott Vonschimpf.
A jury unanimously found him guilty of attempted fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and abuse of an incompetent.
His victim? A nonverbal autistic woman.
Attorney General Prosecutor Christine Tenorio led the charge, ensuring Vonschimpf was held accountable. He must now register as a level 3 sex offender.
The people of Guam spoke through their jury, and the court delivered. No leniency for those who prey on the vulnerable.
