A man is dead following a shooting in Hagat overnight.

Guam police need your help finding two persons of interest they say could help them solve the case.

Tonight, eyewitnesses remain in fear after seeing what happened steps away from where they were having dinner with their families.

“We just finished eating dinner. We were outside here. So my son called me and I came out and we grabbed our stuff and go inside,” Rebecca Masters.

Masters and her family are still in shock over a shooting that happened just steps away from their front door.

“It's scary. Once we hear the shooting, we all go in so we don't really know what happened or who did it or who got shot,” said Masters.

KUAM asked what their biggest worry was.

“My biggest worry is I didn't know the bullet was on our door until a few hours later because the police have been there for a while. I didn't know the bullet came to our door - so it's scary,” Masters said.

Evidence left behind where a stray bullet pierced through her door.

Guam police responded to a reported shooting just before 10 p.m. Thursday along Mao Drive in the Pagachao area.

Authorities found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was rushed to the Guam Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

A woman living next door to the crime scene says she called the cops.

“I heard gunshots and automatically I am not going to run out there because I have kids at home so I just called the cops and they said lock your doors and they are going to send someone out,” added Masters.

She recalls hearing two to three gunshots.

“It sounded very close so it kind of just shook me just hearing that,” she said. “It's crazy. I just moved here so knowing that was next door to me - I have kids at home it makes me want to stay inside for a little bit...It's pretty quiet here. I've only been here a month or two. It's pretty quiet. Sometimes we play music and kids are outside playing all the time. I hardly see stuff like that happen here.”

Police are not yet saying if they have any leads on suspects.

“We are asking for the community’s help in seeking two persons of interest who may have helpful information: POI 1: Short heavy-set male, bald, unknown descent, wearing black clothing carrying unknown type pistol.  POI 2: Short, slim male wearing red shirt and brown shorts.A next of kin has not yet been located,” said Norman Analista, GPD Spokesperson.

The man's identity has not yet been released.

Investigators also await the results of an autopsy.
