Two of the men wanted into connection to a kidnapping and shooting reported in Yigo were taken into custody Sunday.

Jeromy Pangelinan led officers with the Guam Police Department on a chase after a carjacking reported in Windward Hills Sunday morning.

The incident happened after authorities said he was involved in a separate attempted carjacking and shooting along Route 4A in Talo'fo'fo' Saturday night.

About 130 local and federal law enforcement officers spent hours searching the southern village for a suspect.

It was after the Windward Hills carjacking when police tracked down Pangelinan in a stolen car and gave chase toward Dededo.

The chase ended along Stampa Road where police said Pangelinan fired the first shot at officers before authorities then returned fire.

Pangelinan was taken to the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound.

His condition was not immediately available.

No officers were injured.

GPD also placed the cops involved in the shooting on paid leave, while an internal affairs investigation is conducted.

Tedtaotao arrest

Early Sunday, Pangelinan's co-actor in the Yigo shooting identified by police as Jathan Tedtaotao was located at a residence in the northern village.

Both are being questioned by detectives with GPD's Criminal Investigation Division.

Meantime, a manhunt continues for a third suspect identified as Shaenita Pangelinan is ongoing.

Investigators confirm the trio are biological siblings.
