The man accused in an armed kidnapping could have his day in court this week.

Jury selection started today for defendant Noah Cepeda.

Cepeda appeared before Judge Alberto Tolentino in the Superior Court of Guam.

As we reported, he was arrested a year ago in connection to a Maite kidnapping.

The victim told KUAM he's a tattoo artist and Cepeda was his client who did not pay for services.

Instead of making payment, Cepeda allegedly kidnapped the victim who was later able to escape. But, Cepeda contends he was unarmed and allegedly told police he was there to collect a drug debt.
