House passes ‘Deliver for Veterans Act' to aid veterans in remote regions

In the nation’s capitol, the House of Representatives has unanimously passed the Deliver for Veterans Act.
The legislation aims to eliminate the financial burden for veterans with disabilities who qualify for adaptive vehicles through the Department of Veterans Affairs' program.
Due to the unavailability of these vehicles in remote regions like Guam, veterans have been forced to shoulder the additional cost of shipping.
Congressman James Moylan said in part, “This legislation is a crucial step towards ensuring that our veterans, regardless of their geographical location, have equitable access to the services and support they deserve. By including shipping costs in the program, we can alleviate the financial burden on veterans living in Guam, and other areas of the world.”
The bill will now move to the Senate for further action.
