WIC Program clinics closing April 30 and May 30 due to staff training

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children Program, under the Department of Public Health and Social Services, announces the temporary closure of its WIC clinics on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, and Friday, May 30, 2025, to allow for essential staff training in preparation for the upcoming rollout of the upgraded Health and Nutrition Delivery System 2.0.
The closure is necessary to ensure that WIC clinic staff are fully prepared for the new system's functionalities and able to provide the highest level of service to clients once HANDS 2.0 is implemented on June 17, 2025.
The training sessions will be conducted by in-house trainers and will coincide with the clinic's regular monthly Inservice training. The training hours will be extended to 8 hours to accommodate the HANDS 2.0 system training.
During the closure, clients are encouraged to plan accordingly and reschedule any appointments for alternative dates. WIC staff will continue to provide guidance on rescheduling.
