A Superior Court of Guam jury took 10 minutes to convict a woman accused of dealing meth.

Mary Elizabeth Cruz Flores was found guilty of possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

She appeared before Judge Vernon Perez in the Superior Court of Guam Wednesday afternoon.

Prosecutors will argue for Flores to serve 30 years in prison.

On April 3, 2022, Guam police officers responded to a removal call at a Dededo apartment when spotted Flores outside the unit and took her into custody.

During a search, officers discovered nine Ziploc bags filled with meth along with an additional bag found in her back pocket.

“This trial victory shows that our jurors and People are fed up with criminals that voluntarily chose this destructive lifestyle of meth,” said Attorney General Doug Moylan. “Every cheap bag of meth creates a broken home, a stolen life, and a child in danger.”
