Guam took center stage in Manila this week, captivating hundreds of travel professionals and celebrities during a trade showcase hosted by the Guam Visitors Bureau.

Held at the Enderun Tent on March 27, “Get To Know Guam: America’s Hidden Gem” was GVB’s first offline event in the Philippines since 2022, drawing nearly 300 guests, including media, influencers, and industry leaders.

GVB President Régine Biscoe Lee described Guam as a “pangalawang tahanan,” a home away from home for Filipino travelers.

Celebrities Dingdong Avanzado, Jessa Zaragoza, And Rocco And Melissa Nacino shared personal experiences from Guam, praising the island’s food, scenery, and warm hospitality.

The conversation covered everything from the island's vibrant history to the unforgettable adventures it offers.

Dingdong Avanzado remarked, “I’ve been visiting Guam since 1985, and it truly feels like home. It offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the Metro.  One of the best things about Guam, often overlooked, is the lack of traffic.  And while golf is becoming more popular, Guam actually has some excellent golf courses.”

Jessa Zaragoza couldn’t help but rave about Guam’s food, saying, “I really enjoyed the delicious food, along with the warm hospitality that makes you feel welcomed and comfortable.”

Filipino actor Rocco Nacino, and his wife Melissa Gohing Nacino, also attended the event in support of GVB following their recent trip to Guam in 2024.

Following the interview, guests were immersed in a traditional Chamorro Blessing (Bendision), a beautiful spiritual ceremony that offered a heartfelt welcome from the people of Guam.

The event continued with a presentation that highlighted the natural wonders and diverse activities Guam has to offer, including the breathtaking views of Tumon Bay and the excitement of tax-free shopping.

The audience was introduced to the island's pristine beaches, cultural landmarks, and adventure-filled experiences, making it a must-visit destination.

The evening concluded on an exciting note with a grand raffle, where two lucky attendees won round-trip tickets to GUAM for two.
