Self-locating marker buoys dropped to assist in search for missing fisherman

Search crews are now on day five looking for signs of Jeffrey Hattori in the water off Guam.
The U.S. Coast Guard, Guam Fire Rescue, the U.S. Navy, and local partners, persists in the search.
Officials believe Hattori remains missing west of Guam.
Lt. Chelsea Garcia, Search and Rescue Mission Coordinator, reflected on the exhaustive efforts stating, “We’re exercising every possibility, asking all the ‘what ifs,’ and leaving no stone unturned in our search for Mr. Hattori."

Four self-locating marker buoys were also dropped by search crews and are actively transmitting data, enhancing search and rescue optimal planning system drift predictions to refine the search for Hattori's 14-foot skiff, lady g.
