AAliya Monique Benin to inherit 80th Liberation Queen after previous holder renounces title

The Mayors’ Council of Guam announces that Layla Cabrini Espinal has formally surrendered her title as Guam’s 80th Liberation Queen for personal reasons. 

In a simple and dignified ceremony held on April 16, 2025 at the Mayors’ Council of Guam in Hagåtña, the title was conferred upon AAliya Monique Benin as the 80th Guam Liberation Queen. 

Benin was the Royal Princess.

Queen AAliya hails from the beautiful village of Santa Rita-Sumai. 

Her reign will culminate in June 2025 at the Coronation Ceremony for the 81st Liberation Queen
