Guam Environmental Protection Agency reports three polluted beaches

The results of 43 samples taken by the Guam Environmental Protection Agency on April 16, 2025, identified that the following three recreational waters were polluted above the accepted bacteriological standards.
Hågat
- North of Hågat Marina, south of Chaligan Creek
- Togcha Beach - Bridge
Piti
- Santos Memorial
Guam EPA also released the next predicted dates for jellyfish from April 21 to April 23.
Swimming, fishing or playing in unsafe waters may result in minor illnesses such as sore throats or diarrhea. It may also result in more serious illnesses such as meningitis, encephalitis, or severe gastroenteritis.
Children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems have a greater chance of getting sick when they come in contact with contaminated water.
