Summer may have started, but it's not too late to enroll your child in summer camp, the University of Guam Adventure Summer Camp is in their first week of activities and is offering kids a venue to put their energy and skills to good use. Joanie Barcinas, co-director of this year's camp, says kids will be occupied with a whole bunch of activities that range from life skills to learning different sports. "We offer activities such as heights, new games, cooperative games, team sport games, we go to water parks, we have health education, we are collaborating with 4h , they teach our campers about life skills and we are also collaborating with P.E. teachers and they teach age appropriate sports to all our campers from ABC to the extreme group," he said.

With two months left before the start of the new school year, Barcinas says kids should get active and in the habit of living a healthy lifestyle, which is one of the reasons why the UOG Adventure Summer Camp is encouraging parents to enroll their children. "I encourage all campers and parents to bring out their children and enroll them into the UOG Adventure Sports camp. Lets get your children involved in health, physical education and lets start their lives with healthy lifestyles and good health choices," she said.
